Poinsettia (Euphorbia Pulcherrimum)
Poinsettia is one of the most popular and dramatic festive plants with its
vivid, red bracts and dark green leaves.
It's a tropical plant so needs bright and indirect sunlight and needs to be in a constant temperature of about 18 degrees centigrade to develop the deep red colour. Water sparingly as overwatering may result in the leaves turning yellow and wilting.
Cineraria Silverdust
With its lovely silvery blue -green foliage, Cineraria gives beautiful contrast and texture to Christmas containers. Plant with white cyclamen and add some Winter berries for a splash of colour.
Gaultheria procumbens
A dwarf evergreen, fully hardy shrub with thick glossy leaves producing white to pale pink flowers in Summer. This is followed by deep red berries in the Autumn. They thrive in a shady part of the garden and are an ideal ground covering plant. Perfect for your Christmas container.
